Al-Khair Educational & Cultural Centre 
The Al-Khair Educational & Cultural Centre (AECC) was established in September 2003. The Centre runs the Al-Khair school that includes Years 5 & 6 at primary school level but it has plans for extending its educational work, including an adult education centre. The project is headed by Imam Qasim Ahmed, a member of the SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education) since 1995. Imam Qasim has also been involved in the production of an RE syllabus in use in over one hundred schools in the London Borough of Croydon.
