A project has been launched to establish a combined library and bookstore where texts on Islamic literature and philosophy can be bought and borrowed. We have a building of 12,000 square feet, based in Birmingham at the heart of Islamic communities. The name ? Library of Cordoba ? is a homage to an early centre of Islamic learning during the thriving Islamic civilization in Europe. There are a growing number of Muslims in the community and therefore we are meeting a religious and educational demand for theological literature. Our aim is to provide the cultural, religious and educational needs of both the Muslims and non-Muslims in Birmingham and to create a better awareness of Islam. At present, we are contacting publishers to purchase their books. We would be grateful if you could send us your complete publications list. Any advice would also be much appreciated.
